Sarah is a compassionate and integrative therapist with experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through life’s challenging times. She utilizes a holistic lens with a non-judgmental and collaborative approach, bringing empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a strengths-based perspective. Sarah recognizes and honors each person’s unique story that has brought them to this point in their life.
Sarah began her career in the non-profit world, both in community mental health and child welfare, where she developed a strong commitment to supporting underserved populations. Her work with children and families has fueled a deep passion for creating safe, supportive spaces where healing can take root. She has experience in crisis intervention and trauma, as well as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, among other challenges. Sarah believes that within each of us, there lies intrinsic wisdom to grow and heal.
Sarah takes a collaborative and individualized approach, working closely with each person to identify what best supports their unique healing journey. She thoughtfully incorporates mindfulness and draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and play therapy. In addition, Sarah has completed specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), equipping her to support adults, teens, and children navigating complex trauma.
In addition to her clinical work, Sarah holds a master’s degree in holistic nutrition and is a certified yoga teacher with over twenty years of experience working with individuals to support holistic wellness. She believes in honoring the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys early morning runs, practicing yoga, creating something tasty in the kitchen, reading and more reading, community involvement, and most of all, spending time with her family.
